Jenney Craig Reviews

I am want to tell anyone who is listening to run - don't walk - away from JC. Initially, I was in love. Expensive, yes; but it worked. I lost almost 50 lbs! And then .... I started to creep back up while on the plan, and ended up gaining approx 30 lbs back!! They said, They didn't know how to help me anymore and if I wasn't going to stick to their food 100% then JC would not work. For those of you familiar with the diet, you are supposed to transition to your own food and still maintain. May work for weight loss for a short time but you put the weight right back on when you start to transition back. And ... never mind the damage you cause to your blood levels when you are on processed foods for 1.5 years. My entire system is screwed. Thanks JC!! BTW -- do not purchase the $400 monitoring program. It does not work. Tells you "you are on a weigtloss trend." (no cheating -- reallly!) and then you weight in only for the scale to show you have gained. Then the consultants tell you ... hmmm must be water retention, irregular bowels, salt the night before? Oh, well, we don't know then.

I joined Jenny Craig last week. I found the lady I dealt with very pushy and sales orientated. Twice she tried to get me to commit to paying $400 odd to join the whole program. I said "NO" I came to do the $49 for 6mths program. Then she said did I want a planned menu or customise my own? I said planned would be good to start with but she failed to tell me that way was more expensive. She didn't explain anything much to me, even on the planned menu, there were a couple of things that I didn't know what it was nor was it in my groceries. Anyway, it seemed all about the money and I was given no direction and have decided to pull out today so less than a week...Must read my contract it says, you have 10 days I think. Anyway, I am not convinced and to be honest when most of the women that work there are overweight, it really proves its all about the money!!! I did not like alot of the food either, so I shall not be going bk! Hope this gives some people an insight to JC.

p.s. My groceries for the week were $160 ouch!!! for one person :(

Not sure why I was told this repeatedly, but my old Jenny Craig center let me know they aren't dietitians .. I never thought they were, lol
