I went on Jenny about 15 years ago while I was a single parent and had about 80 lbs to lose. It cost me over $1,000.00 to lose 11 lbs, while faithfully following their diet to the letter, exercising as well. As I had two children to feed besides myself, I couldn't continue spending this kind of money.

The kids are out of the house now, I am earning far more and apparently enjoying the 'fruits' of my labor because now I have 120 lbs to lose.

I have been thinking about rejoining Jenny but wisely decided to do some research and so very glad I found this site. It reaffirms my initial reasons for not continuing on their program. Too expensive, and takes to long to lose the weight. Gotta wonder if they deliberately feed you more than you should have to keep the process as slow as possible.

The longer it takes you to lose the weight, the more money they make off of you.

I'll check out Nutrisystem instead.

Jenny Craig lied to me when I first joined..

I asked the lady that helped me join If all i had to pay was $796 to join and she said yes! Then I was told that included my food for a year! Then she told me.. you have the program for a year and then it turned out to be i had a program for 6months !

If I would have known what I know now what i knew then I would not have joined. The cost of food is crazy.. They want you to do their food for six month and it cost me $596 every month then I switched to the non frozen food and it was about $460 a month..

Just beware of what you are getting into!

I agree with everyone on here! I did almost the same things on Jenny Craig. I spent way to much money.

The counselors were horrible, not trained in and out and all they wanted to do was sell you things. I don't know anyone who has really stuck to this and lost any weight.

I joined for $20.00 for 20 weeks or 20 pounds first. Not including the food. Well needless to say I didn't lose anything but 7 pounds for the whole 20 weeks. I was sticking to plan almost 85% of the time. Which I think is pretty good.

I spent roughly $100 to $150 a week on food. For just me !!! THat is what got me. And if you want to use a coupon that you get, they get nasty!

So, now I do NUTRISYSTEM! I LOVE IT! Have lost 25 pounds in a month!
