I have started the Medifast diet today. I am 175lbs and hoping that by my 44th birthday next Spring I will be down to at least 140 - less would be nice, but I'm just trying to be practical and real about it all. I'm scared especially because Christmas is this week and New Years next week - but I just thought I'd get a good headstart and since I am feeling the motivation with these jeans that are now too tight for me, I'm ready and today is the beginning of the end of my fat.

I ran into a good friend last year who I didnt even recognize because she had lost over 100lbs since the last time I had seen her. She told me it was medifast and that she loved it.
The woman had always been heavy and was smaller than me, looking to be about a size 2! I have always weighed about 120lbs but during my divorce I had gotten up to 150. I only stuck to the diet for 3 weeks because I had gotten down to 135 and felt good, so just stopped.
6 months later and weighing in at 138, I decided to go ahead and lose that other 15 lbs I was wanting to lose. One week in, 5 lbs down. Not everything is delicious, but it is edible and doable if you are determined to actually stick to it! BTW, the new "parmisan cheese balls" are awesome.

This is for anyone that is interested in the medifast plan. It does work. I have been over weight for about 25 years and there was no diet that worked for me. I have lost 55 pounds in 4 months and it was easy. The food is good. I crockpot the soups, (all 7 packets at once) and add different things that are low fat low carb such as rotel tomatoes, mushrooms, ect. I recommend crockpotting the soups and freezing them in single serving freezer bowls. And the eggs are good, I add onions and mushrooms and a little fat free cheese sometimes. I love the shakes. I bought a single serving blender, Hamilton beach) and mix with ice and 8oz water. I add a tablespoon of instant coffee and some vanilla or hazelnut sugar free syrup in the morning to make a frozen cappachino. Use your imagination. Good luck.
